I haven't quite worked out what the terms of use of these are given I don't have any grasp of the French language, and I'm hoping that Frederic won't mind me using a few throughout this site - and which I'll happily pay for once I can work out the deal.

Update: thanks to a heads up tweet from @DirtyAndy I installed Google Toolbar in Firefox and it translated the website for me. Terms of use for icons are detailed on each one and vary from free for commercial use, attribution and non-commercial.

I don't know if you've ever done a google search looking for icons but if you have you'll know what I mean when I say that some of them are really bad. So it was a pleasure when I spotted a tweet from Orli with a link to Icones.pro.
The site is currently only in French but if you don't mind working around that, the way icons are presented, searched and downloaded is fantastic. They even have transparent backgrounds so can work easily in most web page colour pallettes.
