How To Become A Webmaker
posted by Fletch, 24 Mar 10
A Webmaker is essentially someone who works from home and provides sales and customer service support for our small business customers. Think of it like being the liaison between our team of Pro Web Designers and your local small business market.
What you need first of all is a broadband connected PC and a mobile phone contract that let's you make heaps of calls and send plenty of texts. If you're a people person and willing to get out and network, as well as listen to your customers needs and respond accordingly, there's a good living in it for you to work from home in a relaxed manner.
If we end up working together we'll kit you out with business cards and a company email address, and teach you how to operate properly as a self-employed person if you don't already know how to do that. We'll also help you promote Webmakers in your area with marketing materials, tools and tips.
We run advertising campaigns which bring in customers, so we do our bit to generate new people for you to to deal with - and there aren't really fixed hours of work. That's pretty much over to you. What we care about is good customer service, and if you have your mobile on most of the time and do what you say you're going to do, that should all work fine.
If this might be you, then here's how it works.
Firstly take a look at the Webmakers About & Contact Page and make sure the county or area you want to work in is free. If you're outside of the UK then most territories are currently open. Then give me a call on 07518 345679 (at an OK UK time please) and I'll talk you through this. If we get on well on the phone, you could start pretty much straight away.
I've tested out methods of lead generation, response, working with the web design team, and getting to know customers - and if it was me starting out fresh in my territory, I'd probably set my earnings target at £1,000 a week and end up working around 6 hours a day to achieve that.
